10/23/2020 Pumpkin Carving ContestA pandemic can't stop Ashbrook's annual pumpkin carving contest! Bring your carved pumpkins to school on Monday or Tuesday (you can place them in the drop-off area at the entrance) for next week's judging. The youngest members of our community will vote in-person, and a virtual ballot will be available for all students who are in virtual learning.
For more details, check out last week's Ashbrook Compass. 10/19/2020 Expectations: Part TwoHere's a set of statements I'm calling "What I Expect From You, Fall Term 2020." This goes out to my students and to their families.

10/5/2020 Socktober! The fourth-grade class is asking for donations of new, clean, pairs of socks to distribute to the homeless of Benton County. Here's their message:
"We (the 4th-grade class) want to help the homeless people in Benton County by providing socks to improve their health and wellness. You can donate socks at our school. There will be a box outside the front doors during school hours from 7:45 AM- 4:00 PM on October 2-28. Our goal is to get at least 1,000 pairs of socks. There are more homeless people than you think. There are about 1200 homeless people just in Corvallis. Thank you! We appreciate your help, and it will help the community." As you come to Materials Pick-Up today, why not drop off a pair (or two, or more!) of socks to help our community members who are struggling? Thanks for your consideration. 10/2/2020 Materials Pick-Up Day on MondayCourse materials needed for the next month will be available for pick-up on Monday, 5 October, from 3-5 p.m. Course reading packets for both Heroes, Myths, and Legends courses will be distributed at that time.
